Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Squash, a product of Lucent Enterprises Ltd. By downloading, installing, or using Squash, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the software.

License

Squash is proprietary software. A purchase grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Squash on one (1) device at a time. You may deactivate your license and move it to a different device at any time. Some bundled components (such as FFmpeg, x264, and x265) are open-source and distributed under their respective licenses — see our open-source licenses page for details.

Intellectual property

Squash, the Squash logo, and all associated branding are the property of Lucent Enterprises Ltd. This license does not grant you any rights to our trademarks, trade names, or brand assets. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

Free tier

The free version of Squash is available indefinitely with the following restrictions: output is limited to 60 seconds and a 3-second branded end card is appended to all exports. All destinations and features are otherwise available. We reserve the right to modify free tier limits with reasonable notice.

Acceptable use

You may not:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of Squash
  • Redistribute, sublicense, rent, lease, or lend the software to third parties
  • Remove, alter, or obscure any proprietary notices, labels, or branding in the software
  • Circumvent or attempt to circumvent any license restrictions, including the free tier limitations
  • Use the software for any purpose that violates applicable law

Refunds

We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on all purchases. If you're not satisfied for any reason, email [email protected] within 30 days of purchase and we will issue a full refund via LemonSqueezy, our payment processor. No questions asked.

Termination

We may suspend or revoke your license if you violate these terms. Upon termination, you must cease all use of Squash and delete any copies in your possession. Termination does not affect your right to a refund if within the 30-day refund period.

Disclaimer of warranties

Squash is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Lucent Enterprises Ltd. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, revenue, or profits, arising from your use of Squash. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the software.

Age requirement

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to purchase Squash. Minors may use the software under the supervision and with the consent of a parent or guardian.

Governing law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of British Columbia, Canada, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of British Columbia.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via our website. Continued use of Squash after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
